Vignan University is a private university in the Guntur district Andhra Pradesh, India. The institution began as Vignan's Engineering College in 1997 and was affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad as a part of the Vignan Foundation for Science, Education & Research. It was conferred the status of a Deemed University by the University Grants Commission, Government of India in 2008 and was renamed Vignan University.
