Facility Description
Library Gulbarga University Central library is Wi-Fi enabled and is known for it collection of rare books. It has a collection of 2,27,831 books, subscribes 654 scientific journals, 16 CD-ROM databases, 5800 dissertation/theses and technical reports and has access to 12,000+ e-journals through UGC-INFONET e-resources and equipped with virtual reference access through QuestionPoint Service, OCLC-USA. Library also equipped with 150 computer systems and three main servers. Central library has been awarded Dr. Padhya Best University Library Award in 2007 by Indian Library Association, New Delhi and was recipient of eINDIA's? Hostel Gulbarga University has 8 hostels accommodating 1100 students in total - 5 for boys and 3 for girls hostels. Sports Complex Gulbarga University has an indoor stadium which can accommodate 1750 people and has four courts and a well-equipped gymnasium. Other sports facilities at the university are: an outdoor stadium with 400-metre track for all running events, 1 football ground, 2 hockey grounds, 2 volleyball courts, kho-kho court, kabaddi court, basketball courts, badminton and tennis courts, ball badminton court, two cricket grounds, four table tennis courts. Students are trained for both national and international sports events.
