The NEET-PG 2024 entrance examination, which was originally scheduled for June 23, has been rescheduled by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). It will now be held on August 11, 2024, in two shifts. This decision follows a postponement announced earlier by the Union Health Ministry as a precautionary measure amidst concerns about the integrity of certain competitive exams.
The cut-off date for eligibility to appear in the NEET-PG 2024 remains August 15, 2024. Since the postponement, there have been several meetings involving officials from the Union Health Ministry, NBEMS, its technical partner Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the National Medical Commission (NMC), and Cyber Cell officials. These meetings aimed to assess and ensure the robustness of the examination system.
NEET-PG is a crucial entrance examination for medical students conducted by NBEMS and TCS. The Ministry of Health has undertaken thorough assessments to uphold the integrity and effectiveness of the examination process. This rescheduling provides candidates with a clear timeline and allows them to prepare accordingly for the examination on August 11, 2024.
