The School Education Department of West Bengal has released the results for the National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme Examination (NMMSE) 2022. Candidates can find the West Bengal NMMS result 2023 on the state's scholarship portal, scholarships.wbsed.gov.in.
Candidates who have been selected for the scheme must now register on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at scholarships.gov.in, which will open between July and August.
This centrally sponsored scholarship is available to students in Class 8 in West Bengal who have scored 55% or higher in their Class 7 final exams. SC, ST, and disabled candidates receive a 5% relaxation in marks.
This scholarship is not available to students in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, state government-run residential schools, and private schools. Only students studying in recognized government schools, government-aided schools, local body and government-sponsored schools including Madrasahs without residential facilities are eligible to apply.
To be eligible for the NMMS scholarship, a student's parental income should be below ₹3,50,000 per annum.
