The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2023 this week. Students can check NEET UG result, scorecard, cut-off marks and list of toppers on the official website of NTA NEET at neet.nta.nic.in.
A total of 11,45,976 candidates have qualified for the exam. This year, more than 20 lakh medical aspirants appeared in the exam which was conducted by NTA on May 7, 2023. The provisional answer key for NEET UG exam was released on 4th June. Candidates who appeared in the exam were given the opportunity to review the answer key and raise any objection or challenge till June 6.
NEET-UG, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for undergraduate courses, serves as the qualifying entrance test for various medical and health care programmes. These programs include Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery Are. (BUMS), Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), and B.Sc (H) Nursing courses.
This year, due to the prevailing violence in Manipur, NTA had to conduct separate medical entrance exam in the state. While the NEET UG 2023 exam took place across India and other centers on May 7 with 97.7 per cent attendance, around 8,700 candidates from Manipur appeared for the exam on June 6.
NEET-UG has seen a significant increase in registrations this year. The exam has received the highest ever 20.87 lakh registrations, surpassing last year's number by 2.57 lakh. There are 12 lakh female candidates among the registered candidates. Along with the NEET result, NTA will also announce the names of all India toppers and category-wise cut-off marks and percentile rank.
How to check NEET UG 2023 result ?
Step 1 : Visit the official website at neet.nta.nic.in.
Step 2 : Click on the "NEET UG 2023 Result" link on the homepage.
Step 3 : You will be redirected to a login page where you need to enter your login credentials.
Step 4 : Enter your registration number and date of birth and click on the submit or login button.
Step 5 : Once you have successfully logged in, your NEET UG 2023 scorecard will be displayed on the screen.
Step 6 : Check and download it. You can also take a printout for future reference.
