About PPSC Exam

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC), formerly known as the Joint Public Service Commission, is a government agency and the topmost constitutional body of the Government of Punjab, India. It is responsible for conducting civil services and competitive exams for various civil services and departmental posts under the jurisdiction of Punjab.

Educational Qualification

  • The candidate must have done a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any stream with minimum sixty percent marks from a recognized university or institution. Graduate with 60% marks in any stream

PPSC Admit Card

Due to the novel coronavirus pandemic spread around the world, PPSC 2020, along with many other exams, has been delayed for several months. Recently, PPSC has announced and issued the admit cards for exams related to a few posts. The admit cards for the other exams are to be issued soon.
 

Steps to download Admit Card for PPSC

PPSC does not release the Admit Cards for the PPSC Examinations offline. They are available online at the official website around 15 days before the exams. Thus, it is mandatory to download them from the official website.

Candidates often face difficulties while downloading their admit cards/hall tickets, which adds up to the heaps of stress for exams present already. Therefore, we have provided a step-by-step guide to downloading the admit cards. It is advisable to download the admit cards soon after the release and well before exams to avoid any last-minute issue.

  • Candidates appearing for PPSC have to visit the official website at http://ppsc.gov.in/and log in with their user id and passwords used earlier while filling up the form
  • They then need to go the ‘Careers’ tab
  • A tab with many links opens, students need to find the link to their admit card by checking the year and the exam they are taking
  • After clicking on the link, the students may have to fill in a few details like their phone number and date of birth.
  • After filling all the details asked, the students can download the admit cards.
  • The students must print out the Admit card to carry it to the exam center on the day of examination.
  • If the students cannot download the Admit Cards by the above process, they can immediately report to the authorities by writing them an email with the user id or the registration number and the roll number.

Checking the details in the Admit card

After downloading the Admit Cards/Hall Tickets, it is always advised to students to double-check all the information provided in the Admit Cards to avoid future conflict. In case of any wrong information, the students can contact the authorities regarding the change they want in their Admit Cards. The students need to mention the wrong information and provide the correct information along with the supporting documents (if any).   • Punjab Public Service exam type and date
  • Roll Number of the Candidate
  • Gender
  • Father’s/ Mother’s Name
  • Time of the Exam

Documents to be carried during the exam

As the Punjab Public Service Commission Exams are offline, the students need to carry the Admit Cards and an assortment of other documents to the exam hall on the day of the exam. Admit cards are the most important. The students are not allowed entrance into the center without them in any case. The list of other important documents required are as follows

Preliminary Exam-Pattern

The preliminary exam is segmented into two papers, both are objective type papers with four options given. This is a screening test only and based on the marks achieved in this exam, test takers will be qualified for the next level of selection which is the Main Examination.
