About ODISHA TET Exam

Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha conducts the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) to make candidates eligible for the recruitment of Classes I to VIII teacher in government, private aided, and private unaided schools of Odisha. As per the official website, clearing the OTET exam is only one of the eligibility criteria for teacher recruitment. Merely qualifying the exam does not guarantee the appointment of a candidate in state schools.

Candidates who have cleared their Class XII or Graduation with minimum qualifying marks are eligible to appear for the OTET exam. The Odisha Teaching Eligibility test is conducted for two papers [Category A (Paper 1) and Category B (Paper 2)]. Candidates can appear for Paper 1 or Paper 2 or both the papers as per their eligibility.

Commencement of OTET 2022 Application Process To be announced The BSE Odisha starts the OTET application process with the release of notification. Candidates need to submit the application online in order to appear for the exam.
Last date to apply To be announced Eligible candidates need to fill the application form before the deadline.
Last date for Application fee submission To be announced Candidates need to pay the application fee along with the form. The fee is paid online through Debit/Credit Card or Internet Banking and offline through Bank Challan.
Exam date To be announced The BSE Odisha conducts the OTET 2022 exam in a written mode in two sessions for Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Answer key To be announced The OTET Answer Key 2022 will be released by the BSE soon after the conduct of the exam.
Challenge provisional answer key To be announced Candidates are allowed to raise objections against the provisional answer key.
Final answer key To be announced The OTET final answer key 2022 will be released on the official website.
Result To be announced The OTET Result 2022 will be declared on the basis of the final answer key. Candidates who obtain qualifying marks are declared pass in the exam.

ODISHA TET Eligibility

Those candidates are aspiring to become a teacher in the schools of Odisha State, they can apply in this test based on their Eligibility Criteria, which is mentioned below.

  • Candidates should belong to Indian Citizenship.
  • They should have domicile of Odisha
  • There is no upper age limit to apply in this test.

Category-A (Paper- I)
  • Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (CT or D.El.Ed). OR
  • Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), following the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002. OR
  • Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).OR
  • Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). 

Category-B (Paper-II)
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). OR
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) following the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  • Graduation with 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed.(Special Education). OR
  • Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR
  • Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A./ B.Sc, Ed or B.A. Ed./ B.Sc. Ed.

Step 2: Scroll down the homepage and go to the latest updates section. 

Step 3: Search for the Odisha TET Admit Card download link and click on it.

Step 4: Enter your Registration number, DOB, and security code.

Step 5: Click on login and your Odisha TET Admit Card 2021 will open up.

Step 6: Print the admit card and make some extra copies for future references.

ODISHA TET Syllabus

The OTET exam consists of two papers – Paper I and Paper II. Candidates can appear for either of these papers depending on the posts they wish to be eligible for.  Both the papers consist of MCQs and 1 mark will be awarded for every positive answer.
