The University of Jammu has released the admit card for the JK SET/ LASET 2021-22 session exam. Candidates can download the JK SET admit card 2022 now using the login details on the link activated by the University. The JK SET 2022 exam will be held on July 24, 2022.
JK SET is a state-level examination conducted by the University Of Kashmir. The full form of JKSET is the Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test. The concept of the SET or State Eligibility Test was introduced back in 1990 when it seemed that an eligibility test at the national level may not represent the regional subject properly, the way it is.

The basic eligibility criteria that candidates need to fulfil in order to apply for the JK SET 2022 exam are given below:
Candidates with at least 55 per cent marks or an equivalent grade (50 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD) in Master’s Degree or equivalent exam from Universities/ Institutions recognized by UGC.
Candidates who appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree exam and whose result is still awaited will be admitted provisionally and will be awarded the eligibility for Assistant Professor after they pass the Master’s degree exam.
PhD degree holders who completed the Master’s degree exam by September 19, 1991, are given a relaxation of 5 per cent in aggregate marks for appearing in JKSET/ LASET.
Transgender category candidates are eligible to draw the same relaxation in fee and age as available to SC/ST/PwD categories.
Candidates who have already passed the UGC NET/ CSIR NET exam prior to 1989 are exempted from appearing in JK SET.
There is no upper age limit for applying for JKSET/ LASET.

Applicants can download their admit cards from the official website: set.uok.edu.in. Admit Cards will be made available 2-3 weeks prior to the exam. No hard copy of your Admit Card will be sent to you by the authorities.
Hence candidates are requested to take the printout of their admit card and check for all the details mentioned on the same. Admit cards are mandatory to carry to the examination halls else entry will be denied.

The primary objective of the JKSET General Paper is to check candidates’ depth in Teaching and Research Aptitude. Cognitive abilities include comprehension, analysis evaluation, understanding the structure of the arguments, and deductive and inductive reasoning. Each section consists of 5 questions and there is a weightage of 2 marks given to each question.
