About CUET PG Law Exam

CUET PG (law) 2023 University Grants Commission has announced that National Testing Agency is going to conduct a common entrance test namely CUET PG for the graduates who are willing to take admission to the postgraduate (PG) programmes offered by 42 central universities in the upcoming academic year. The complete details about CUET PG 2023 Exam will be uploaded on https://cuet.nta.nic.in/ and the same has been detailed in the article below. The National Testing Agency, NTA has scheduled CUET PG Exam date 2023 to be 1st June-10th June 2023. The CUET PG 2023 Registration Form window has been extended till 5th May 2023.


CUET PG Law Exam Date

The online registration for the CUET PG 2023 has been notified along with the release of the CUET PG 2023 Notification. The exam will be held in two shifts- 9 am to 12:15 noon and 3 pm to 6:45 pm from 22nd to 30th June 2023 (Except 28th June). Check the important dates for CUET PG 2023 as mentioned below.

CUET PG Law Eligibility

Before proceeding with the application form, you must check whether you have satisfied the eligibility criteria or not.

You must satisfy the following criteria to apply for the CUET PG Entrance Exam 2022.

Age Limit:
  • As per the official notification, there is no age limit to apply for the Common Universities Entrance Test for admission to PG courses.
  • However, you will be required to fulfill the age criteria (if any) of the particular university where you are willing to get admission to the LLM program.

Educational Qualification:
  • You must have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent exam with 50 - 55% (university-specific) to be eligible for the CUET PG Law Exam 2022.
  • 5% relaxation is offered for backward classes.
  • Those who are appearing for the qualifying examination in 2022 can also apply for the entrance exam.
 

Reservation: 

The agency is going to follow the caste-based reservation policy as laid down by the central government. Go through the section below to learn about the reservation policy followed by NTA:

  • Out of the total seats, a total of 10% seats shall be reserved for the candidates belonging to the Economically Weaker Section.
  • The reservation for the OBC category is going to be 27% of the total seats for categories furnished by the central government. 
  • Similarly, a reservation of seats equivalent to 15% of seats in every course is applicable for the Scheduled Caste (SC).
  • Similarly, a reservation of 7.5% of the total seats is for the ST, and 5% of the seats are for the PwBD category students.

Step 1. First of all candidates need to visit the official website of CUET (Common University Entrance Test) @ cuet.nta.nic.in.

Step 3. You need to enter your registration number or application number and click on search button.
Step 4. Your CUET PG Hall Ticket 2023 will be displayed on your screen.

CUET PG Law Exam Pattern

According to the official notification, CUET (PG) 2023 Exam is conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode, i.e., online mode.

  • The pattern of the LLM question paper will comprise 100 multiple-choice questions, and each question carries 4 marks. 
  • Also, there is a negative marking of -1 marks for each wrongly answered question.

CUET PG Law How to Apply

The candidates have to fill out CUET PG Application Form 2023 to get registered for the Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET). Follow the below steps to fill CUET PG 2023 Application Form. 

Step 1 - Visit the official website of the CUET PG at https://cuet.nta.nic.in/ to fill CUET PG Application Form 2023.

Step 2 - Click on the text reading ‘Registration for CUET(PG)-2023 is Live now’ appearing on the top.  

Step 3 - After clicking, a new page appears, click on “Registration for CUET(PG) -2023” and you will redirect to the CUET PG 2023 Application Form. 

Step 4 - Complete the registration process by entering details like program applied for, name, valid e-mail-id, mobile number, date of birth, and verification code displayed on the screen. 

Step 5 - Once all details are submitted, the application number and password are generated and are sent to the registered email address and mobile number. 

Step 6 - Use the application number and password to log in and fill up the application form by entering the log-in details like personal, academic qualifications and communication address.

Step 7 - Upload scanned images of a recent passport-sized photograph and signature in the prescribed format and dimensions. 

Step 8 - Select the examination centres- In order of preference, select and enter the exam centres.

Step 9 - On successful online application submission with payment of fees through an automated e-mail and SMS is sent to the registered e-mail ID and mobile number. 
 

Application Fee

The application fee for the CUET PG 2023 exam is different for all categories. The application fee is not refundable or transferable once paid. It can be paid through credit card, debit card, net banking or Paytm services.
