About GMAT Exam

Graduate Management Admission Council, has announced that GMAT 2023 will be conducted in online mode. Various GMAT 2023 test centers shall be there in states like Delhi/NCR, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, West Bengal, Assam, Kerala, and Maharashtra amongst others. The GMAT exam will be conducted in online mode and candidates can appear in the test from the comfort of their homes.

The test conducting body has also introduced the option of using a physical whiteboard during the exam. Candidates can use their own physical whiteboard or the online whiteboard depending on their comfort. Earlier, as an interim measure against the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, GMAC provided an online testing solution on Mac and PC platforms for the B-schools and the candidates. GMAT 2023 is conducted in around 114 countries across the world and is used for more than 7000 MBA and master's programmes. The test is conducted in online mode and the questions are framed from topics like analytical writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills.

GMAT Exam Date

While selecting an exam date, you can choose the time of either the morning slot or the afternoon one. This can vary in the next attempt. The availability of GMAT dates depends upon the local test centres, thus, it is advised to start checking the dates in advance.

GMAT Eligibility

The conducting body has prescribed the eligibility criteria of GMAT 2023 in terms of age limit & educational qualification, which is as given below.

GMAT Eligibility Age Limit

The candidate must be at least 18 years of age for appearing in GMAT 2023.
If the candidate is between 13-17 years of age, he/she must provide written proof of the guardian’s consent who can be a parent or a legal guardian.
There is no upper age limit for appearing in GMAT 2023.
If a candidate achieves a perfect test score of 800, he/she must wait at least 5-year to appear in GMAT 2023 again.

GMAT Educational qualification

GMAC has not prescribed eligibility in terms of educational qualification mainly because the educational qualification for admission is decided by the B-schools as per their requirements.

However, for studying management in India, the candidates must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

GMAT Syllabus

Candidates who are planning to take the GMAT 2023 exam, have to be well acquainted with the GMAT Syllabus 2023. The entire syllabus of the GMAT is divided into 4 different sections.

These are the Quantitative section, Analytical Writing section, and Verbal skills and Integrated Reasoning section. These sections will conclude the candidates skills and knowledge.

The GMAT exam consists 4 sections as listed below:

Quantitative Aptitude: There are two types of questions are asked in the section- data sufficiency and problem solving. The questions asked are mostly from Geometry, algebra, Linear Equations, etc.
Integrated Reasoning: This section measures the candidates capability to integrate data given in multiple formats such as tables, graphs, or text and derive meaningful conclusions from that.
Verbal Ability: This section assesses the candidates ability to read and evaluate a given passage and critically analyze the arguments.
Analytical Writing Assessment: This section test a candidates ability to communicate ideas in written English.

GMAT Exam Pattern

Mode of exam: The exam will be conducted through online centre based and remote proctored mode.
Duration: The total exam time is 3 hours, and the total expected time at the test center, including check-in, breaks, is approximately 3.5 hours.
Section: The GMAT exam is compromised of four separately timed section.
Subject: The paper consisted of subject such as Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Analytical writing, Integrated Reasoning.
