Age Limit

TNPSC Accounts Officer's age limit has officially been released by the authority. The Cut-off date for the Age Limit is 01st July 2022. There is no minimum age limit for the post of TNPSC Accounts Officer as long as you have passed the final exam conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accounts. The maximum age limit for the ‘Other categories’ who are not under service of Tamil Nadu Govt. is 32 years. The relaxation provided by the commission to various categories is discussed below:

Educational Qualification

TNPSC Accounts Officer’s qualification criteria have been released. In order to appear for the examination, every candidate must have these educational qualifications and also has to provide proof of the same. The Educational qualifications that are needed for the post are described below:

  • Candidates must have passed the Final Examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants / Cost Accountants (Order of Studies: 10th + HSC or its equivalent + Bachelor’s Degree + P.G. Degree)
  •  Must possess adequate knowledge of Higher level Tamil language for Official communication (SSLC Std).

Physical Requirements

TNPSC has released the following requirements considering the physical fitness of the individuals for the post of TNPSC Accounts Officer:

  • The Candidate must produce a Certificate of physical fitness from a Prescribed Doctor or specialist of the field for the post of TNPSC Accounts Officer.
  • The TNPSC Accounts Officer post candidate must possess a Standard III or better standard of vision.
  • TNPSC AO candidates having defective vision should produce an Eye Fitness Certificate from a qualified Eye Specialist working in Govt. Hospital.

TNPSC Accounts Officer How to Apply

1. Candidates have to first visit the official website of the TNPSC.
2. Before applying for any post, ‘One Time Password’ by linking Adhar Card is mandatory. Candidates have to register only once in the One Time Registration by paying an amount of Rs. 150/-. Successfully registering One Time Password will be valid for 5 years from the date of registration.
3. To apply under the One Time Registration system, candidates should have a scanned copy of their photographs, specified certificates (if any), and signature as per the specifications given in the guidelines.
4. Candidates are permitted to create more than one registration ID.
5. Candidates have to enter their Unique ID and password to check the already available information and update them.
6. Candidates have to click on the ‘Apply Online’ option against the recruitment notified on the official website using the same User ID and Password given for One Time Registration.
7. Candidates have to select the name of the post for which they want to apply.
8. Candidates have to upload all the required documents in the format specified in the guidelines.
9. Click on the submit button. After submitting the application form, make sure to download and keep a print copy of it for future reference.
