Karnataka Police Constable Eligibility

 Educational Qualifications

To be qualified for KSP Constable, candidates must have completed class 12th or its equivalent from a recognised board. The following are other equivalent qualifications:

  • 3-year Diploma or 2-year ITI course or 2-year Career Education Diploma (JOC/JODC/JLDC)/PUC
  • Higher Secondary Course (HSC) conducted by National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)

 Age Limit

The minimum age to apply for KSP Constable is 19 years, with a maximum age of 25 years. The exemption shall, however, be applied in the following manner for reserved categories:

  • For the SC, ST, and backward classes, the age limit is 27 years.
  • 30 years for tribal applicants living in Karnataka's forest zones.

There is no experience required; instead, applicants must have completed 12th or its equivalent from a recognised board, with a minimum age of 19 years and a maximum age of 25 years for the general category.
 

Physical Standards

The candidates need to possess the following physical standards.

Physical Requirements

For the KSP examination, there should be a Karnataka Police Physical Assessment Test and a Physical Efficiency Test. The second phase in the selecting procedure is the PMT and PET.
