Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) will also announce the vacancies for the selection process, on which the Special Branch Constable (SBC) recruitment exam will take place. The exam is held yearly to recruit constables for the Special Branch, which deals with the investigative services necessary for the police department.

Both the papers consist of objective-type questions with multiple choices. Candidates who successfully qualify the written exam are further elected for a physical test, followed by a medical exam.
