FCI Steno Grade II Eligibility

Age Limit

The age limit for this post is between 18-25 years.
There is no restriction on the upper age limit for the candidates who are already an employee of the FCI department.
There shall be no age relaxation to the dependents of Ex-servicemen.
The relaxations in the upper age limit for candidates belonging to certain categories are below.

Educational Qualification

The FCI Stenographer Eligibility for educational criteria to be satisfied by the candidates is stated below:

The candidate must possess a graduate degree from a recognized university or institute of India.
Candidates must have a typing speed of 40 words per minute (w.p.m.) and shorthand speed of 80 w.p.m., OR
The candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Computer Application with a typing speed of 40 w.p.m. and shorthand speed of 80 w.p.m. are also eligible.

Nationality

A candidate for appointment in the service of the Corporation shall be:

a Citizen of India, or
a subject of Nepal, or
a subject of Bhutan, or
a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1 st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda and United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Number of Attempts

The Food Corporation of India has not released any limit on the number of attempts to appear in the FCI Stenographer recruitment drive. Candidates can apply for the post till they exceed their maximum age restrictions.
