WBPSC Clerkship Eligibility

Age Limit for WBPSC Clerkship –

The candidate must be in the age group of 18 to 40 years.
There are relaxations for the upper age limit which has been given to candidates of various categories as per the government rules prescribed for the purpose.
It is to be noted that candidates who come under more than one category, will be eligible for only one age relaxation benefit, whichever is considered most beneficial to him.
One must remember the date of birth entered in the high school certificate or equivalent certificate issued by the Board / Council will only be accepted by the commission.

As per Government Rules prescribed for the purpose, there will be age relaxation given to a candidate belonging to a particular community category. Here are the details about the same:

There will be age relaxation for candidates as per Government Rules prescribed for the purpose. Age relaxation of 5 years for S.C. & S.T. candidates on the upper age limit, by 3 years for O.B.C. (Non- Creamy Layer) candidates and up to 45 years for Persons with Disabilities (PWD). The Ex-SM will be given age relaxation by 3 years.

No relaxation applies to S.C./S.T./O.B.C. candidates of other States. They will be treated as general candidates.

Educational Qualification for WBPSC Clerkship –

The candidate must be pass in Madhyamik Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent
Must possess elementary knowledge in Computer operation with the ability of typing on the computer at the speed of 20 words per minute in English or 10 words per minute in Bengali.
Must know how to read, write, and speak Bengali; not required for the candidates speaking Nepali as their mother tongue.

Nationality for WBPSC Clerkship –

Both the male and the female candidates must be citi zens of India.

Other nationals as declared eligible by the Government of India.
Candidates should avoid furnishing any false information as all the applications are carefully scrutinized by the commission.
Candidates will have to produce an authentic ID proof during the verification process.
