Age Relaxation
  • Differently Abled Persons and Others are entitled to an age concession of up to 10 years over and above the maximum age restriction.
  • There is no upper age limit for candidates who are SCs, SCs(A), STs, MBC/DCs, BCs (other than Muslims), and BCMs.

Educational Qualification

To be qualified for the position of TNPSC Jailor (Men & Women), the candidate must have the following educational credentials:

  • On the date of the recruitment notification, an applicant must have a degree from any of the UGC (University Grants Commission) recognized universities.
  • The educational qualification necessary for this position must have been earned by completing the necessary qualifications in the following sequence: SSLC + HSC or its equivalent + Undergraduate degree. Also, make sure that the results of the examination were announced on or before the notification date.
  • As per the personnel and administrative reforms department, applicants with a professional degree or any degree are also eligible for this recruitment notification.

1. Candidates should apply online only through TNPSC official website tnpsc.gov.in
2. Before applying, the candidates should keep a scanned image of their Documents.
3. Candidate should have a valid e-mail ID and Mobile Number is mandatory for registration and email ID and the given mobile number should be kept active. Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission will send intimation regarding certificate verification and other important updates
4. Please note that all the particulars mentioned in the online application including Name of the Candidate, Post Applied, Date of birth, Address, Email ID, etc. will be considered as final. Candidates are requested to fill in the TNPSC online application form with the utmost care, as most of them likely no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained.
