IGNOU Junior Assistant Eligibility

Candidates must be familiar with the IGNOU Junior Assistant Cum Typist test Eligibility criteria. Below is a list of every aspect of eligibility:

Educational Qualification

The applicant must have completed the 12th grade from a university that has been acknowledged by the government in order to meet the most crucial educational requirement for the position of Junior Assistant Cum Typist. In addition to this:

Candidates must be able to type 40 words per minute in English and 35 words per minute in Hindi on a computer.
The burden of proof lies with the candidate if he or she asserts that the educational credentials they hold are comparable but not identical to those required for the position.

Age Limit

The minimum age requirement for applicants to be considered for the Junior Assistant Cum Typist Recruitment is 18 years, according to the official notification.

The candidate's age must be under 21 as of the 31st of March 2023 to be considered eligible.
Candidates from the SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWBD categories who choose to apply for unreserved positions will not be eligible for the age or cut-off mark relaxations that are normally granted to those from these categories. Additionally, even if they have the qualifications to be considered for UR, candidates from reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) who become eligible due to the age relaxation that applies in their case will only be considered for reserved seats of that category.
