Criteria for educational qualifications are strictly be fulfilled by each candidate and there is no relaxation in educational qualification.Â
The candidate has to have an H.S.S.L.C with 3 years Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering attained by a recognized Institution of the Assam Government and also duly recognized by the AICTE.

Step 1. Visit the APSC official website.
Step 2. On the homepage, under the Important links, click on the ‘Call Letters/ Admit Cards’ link.Â
Step 3. Now look for the link related to the intimation letter for the exam for the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector and click on the link.
Step 4. Now enter your Roll Number/ Application ID and DOB as asked on the screen and click on the Submit button.
Step 5. Download the APSC MVI Admit Card/Call letter/intimation letter and take a printout of the same.
The Assam Public Service Commission is going to conduct multiple stages for APSC MVI Recruitment - A written Examination, Physical Fitness Test and an Interview
Written TestThe details regarding the APSC MVI will be released soon. The written examination is first stage of selection process. The candidates who will be qualified in the written test will be called for the Interview.
InterviewThe candidates will be tested on their practical knowledge as relevant to the post. The work ethic, general knowledge, aptitude, and logical reasoning of the candidates may also be judged.
Physical Fitness TestThe APSC MVI selection process includes a physical fitness test. The details regarding the physical fitness test will be released soon. The candidates must fulfill the criteria of physical measurements and requirements as applicable. The final merit list will be created after the completion of the physical fitness test.
