SSC JHT Exam Date Out : As per the notice, the exam will be conducted on 16th October 2023. This is in reference to the 2023 recruitment cycle. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the SSC Junior Hindi Translator Exam each year. This recruitment drive is for the combined recruitment of SSC Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator, and Hindi Pradhyapak. SSC JHT, Junior translater Eligibility

All the candidates should ensure their eligibility before applying for SSC JHT Recruitment 2022 in order to avoid the cancellation of their candidature. The eligibility for SSC Junior Hindi Translator2022 is given below.

Eligibility: Nationality

Candidates applying for SSC Junior Hindi Translator must be:

  • An Indian citizen, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A Tibetan refugee (came to India before January 01, 1962), or
  • A person of Indian origin (who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, Vietnam, etc. with the intention of permanent settlement in India.

A candidate who is not a citizen of India needs to possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India in his favour, otherwise, he/she won’t receive the offer of appointment.
 

Eligibility: Age Limits
  • The lower age limit to appear in SSC JHT Exam is 18 years and the upper age limit is 30 years.
  • Relaxation in the upper age limit can be given in the case of certain categories. The age relaxation for different categories is tabulated below:

SSC JHT, Junior translater Admit Card

SSC JHT Admit card 2022 will be released on the official website of SSC. Generally, the admit card is released 1-2 weeks prior to the examination. Candidates need to download and take a printout of the admit card. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall without SSC JHT 2022 Admit Card.

How to Download SSC JHT Admit Card?

The admit card for SSC JHT 2022 will be released on the regional websites of the SSC. So, to download the SSC JHT 2022 Admit Card candidates have to visit the official website of SSC in their region and follow the given steps:

  • Step 1: On the official website of SSC of the respective region click on “Admit Card for Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator and Senior Hindi Translator”.
  • Step 2: Then enter your “Registration ID/ Roll Number/ Name and Father’s Name” and your date of birth.
  • Step 3: Then click on ‘Search’.
  • Step 4: Now you’ll be able to see the admit card status and the option to download the admit card will be displayed at the bottom.
  • Step 5: Download the SSC JHT 2022 Admit Card and take a printout.

  • Paper 1 is a Computer Based Test having multiple-choice questions.
  • It consists of two sections – General English and General Hindi.
  • Each section has 100 questions and the total time duration is 2 hours.

SSC JHT, Junior translater Qualification

The education qualification for Junior Translator in Central Secretariat Official Language Service (CSOLS), Junior Translator in M/o Railways (Railway Board), Junior Translator in Armed Forces Headquarters (AFHQ) & Junior Translator/Junior Hindi Translator in subordinate offices who have adopted Model RRs of DoP&T is tabulated below:

  • Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level;
  • Or, Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of an examination at the degree level;
  • Or, Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level
And, Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or three years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.
Hindi Pradhyapak in Central Hindi Training Institute (CHTI)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at degree level either as compulsory or optional from a recognized University or Institute plus Master’s degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute plus Bachelor of Education from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Or, a Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute plus a Master’s degree in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at degree level either as compulsory or optional from a recognized University or Institute plus a Bachelor of Education from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Desirable: Two years of experience teaching Hindi at the Senior Secondary level under Central or State Governments or recognized educational Institutions.

SSC JHT, Junior translater How to Apply

SSC JHT 2022 Application Form can be filled in online mode only. Candidates applying for the first time should register at the official website of SSC. SSC JHT Application Form contains two parts, one-time registration and the online application form.

How to Fill the SSC JHT Application Form 2022?

The steps to apply for SSC JHT exam are given below:

  • Step 1: Go to the official website of SSC.
  • Step 2: Then in the login section click on ‘Register Now’.
  • Step 3: Then fill in your basic details, additional details and contact details as required in the registration form.
  • Step 4: Then upload the scanned image of your passport size photograph and signature.
  • Step 5: And submit the registration form and keep the registration number and password for the application process.
  • Step 6: Login again with your registration number and password.
  • Step 7: Then under the ‘Latest Notification’ tab find the link for ‘Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator and Senior Hindi Translator Examination 2022’ and click on ‘Apply’.
  • Step 8: Some of the candidates’ details will be already filled in in the application form as per the registration form. Candidates then have to give their centre preference and fill the remaining details educational, highest qualification, etc.
  • Step 9: Preview and verify the information in the application form.
  • Step 10: Pay the application fees.
  • Step 11: Submit the application and take a printout of the same for future reference.

Documents Required for Application Form

The documents and information required while applying online for SSC JHT Exam are:

  • Aadhaar Number (or ID Number of Voter ID Card / PAN / Passport / Driving License / School or College ID / Employer ID).
  • Mobile number and Email ID (to be verified through OTP).
  • Information about matriculation examination.
  • Recent passport size colour photograph (less than 3 months old) having the date printed on it on which the photograph was taken.
  • Scanned photograph.
  • Disability certificate (only if applicable).

Application Fees 

SSC JHT Application fee can be paid in online mode through different payment options (BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, etc.) or in cash at SBI Branches using SBI Challan.
