Punjab SET History Eligibility

Education Qualification

1. Those candidates have obtained at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science &Applications, Electronic Science, etc. they can apply in this test.
2. Applicants belonging from Other Backward Classes(OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer/Scheduled Caste(SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/ persons with disability(PWD) category must have at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.
3. Those are appearing in the Master’s degree (final year) examination, they also can apply in this examination.

Punjab SET History Exam Pattern

The applicants must have to prefer the Exam Pattern for the better preparation of examination and the Exam Pattern consists of a number of questions, type of questions, marking scheme, and schedule of exams. Through the Exam Pattern, candidates can know the complete structure of the question paper.

There will be three Papers:

Paper 1: Research and Teaching Aptitude
Paper 2 & Paper 3 will be based on the respective subject.
The SET will be conducted in objective mode.
The Test will consist of three papers.
To evaluate the General Aptitude of the candidates, there will be one common paper (Paper-I) for all and it will contain 60 questions of 2 marks each, and the candidates will have to answer 50 questions only.
The Second and Third paper will be on the subject concerned.
The second paper will have 50 compulsory questions of 2 marks each.
For the Third paper, there will be 75 compulsory questions of 2 marks each.

2. Applicants should have to register themselves by submitting the required details in the required field.
3. After registration, candidates have to click on the link of “Apply here for Punjab SET Exam” option provided on the official web page.
4. In the Application Form, applicants have to fill the required details such as Personal plus Education details.
5. Applicants have to make the payment of application fee through online mode.
6. After filling all the details in the Application Form, applicants have to submit it and they should have to take the print out of it for future use.

Application Fee : Applicants can pay the application fee through online mode by using Challan, net banking, Debit card or Credit card, etc.
