About AIIMS PG Exam

AIIMS PG 2022 2nd Allotment (INI CET) has been released 27th August 2022 for MD/ MS. Allotment (On spot round) has been released for DM/ M.Ch. All Indian Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) conducts national level entrance exam for candidates seeking admission in 6 years & 3 years post-graduate medical courses. The examination is conducted in 2 different sessions January & July respectively. For MD/ MS admission, the authority has introduced INI CET exam. Qualified candidates of this examination will get admission in MD/ MS (6 year) courses in all AIIMS across the country. However, admission into D.M/ M.Ch (3 year) courses will be through AIIMS PG entrance test as organised every year by AIIMS institution.

AIIMS PG Eligibility

All India Institute of Medical Studies defines the eligibility standards as per the program. For DM/M.Ch. & MD (Hospital Administration):

  • Age Criteria: Must not exceed 35 years as on July 1, 2022.
  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have a degree in MD/MS or DNB from any recognized university.
 

In addition to the above-mentioned eligibility criteria for AIIMS PG, foreign graduates will be requested to present their FMG certification.


AIIMS PG Admit Card

Authority has released the admit card for every registered candidates individually through online mode. Candidates can download their admit card from 29th April 2022 for July session through the website of exam conducting authority.

Candidates have to use their login details to access their admit card. The Admit Card/ Hall Ticket is an important document to be taken at the examination hall as no candidates are allowed to sit for the examination without admit card.

Candidates must keep their admit cards safely until the completion of the AIIMS PG admission process.


AIIMS PG Selection

The counselling process 2022 is regulated by the institution after the declaration of result. AIIMS PG Counselling process is conducted in various round as per the availability of seats after each round of counselling.

The Seat/ Admission is offered on the basis of candidates rank in the merit list. Shortlisted candidates for counselling procedure have to report in the institution within given period of time. Candidates will have to complete all the formalities within given time period to secure their admission.


AIIMS PG Syllabus

AIIMS PG examination will be based on the syllabus prescribed by conducting authority. Aspirants must ensure they do extensive preparation on all the topics to crack AIIMS PG 2022. The syllabus of the AIIMS PG 2022 includes basic concepts from which candidates can expect questions in the test. So the aspirants are advised to prepare very effectively every topic of the syllabus.

Syllabus for various courses is mentioned below:

  1. MD Course: Anaesthesiology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, etc.
  2. MS Course: Orthopaedics, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Surgery, etc.
  3. MDS Course: Endodontics, conservative dentistry, prosthodontics, orthodontics etc.
  4. DM Course: dermatology, venereology, anatomy, radiotherapy, Anaesthesiology etc.

AIIMS PG Exam Pattern

  • Mode of Exam: Computer Based Test, you will be allocated one computer system with inbuilt software for the examination.
  • AIIMS PG Sessions: the exam is conducted in one shift i.e. MD/ MS: 10:00 am to 01:00 pm and MDS: 10:00 am to 11:30 am
  • Type of Questions: each course will have multiple choice questions i.e. for each question four choices will be given, select the most appropriate one.
  • AIIMS MD/ MS paper will have MCQs covering all the subjects taught at MBBS level.
  • AIIMS MDS paper will have MCQs covering all the subjects taught at BDS level.
  • AIIMS PG Marking Scheme: No credit will be given for unanswered questions or marked for review. Questions marked for review shall be considered as unanswered.

AIIMS PG Cut off

The AIIMS PG cut off 2022 is released by the authority online after the declaration of result. Cut Off is the minimum marks candidates have to score to be eligible for further admission procedure.

The cut off marks are calculated keeping various factors including number of candidates appeared in the examination, Average marks scored by the candidates, availability of vacant seats for admission etc. in mind.


AIIMS PG How to Apply

Candidates can fill the application form of AIIMS PG 2022 by the following steps :

Registration: Basic Registration & Final Registration
  • In the first step, log on to the official website of AIIMS PG.
  • Now register by clicking on the "New registration" tab.
  • In the registration section, now select the course option for the PG program.
  • The registration form will appear on the screen in which candidates have to enter their personal details like their full name, email id, DOB, Category, Gender and mobile number.

Filling Application form:

  • After the successful registration process, candidates will receive a email containing log in id credentials.
  • Now login again using the provided log in id and password and change the the password in first step.
  • Now, "My Page" will be opened which will bear the candidate;s information.
  • Candidates now have to enter their qualification details, internship details and medical registration number in the form.

Uploading Images:

  • Candidates after the fee payment, have to upload their recently clicked scanned Photograph, thumb expression and signature.
  • The size must be between 10KB to 100KB and format should be JPEG/JPG.

Selection of Exam Center:

  • Candidates in the next step are required to enter their choice of exam center.
  • They have to make choice of the exam centers from the provided list of the cities.
  • The authority will provide the exam center to the candidates according to the availability of exam center and the choice made by them.

Payment of Application fee:

  • Next step for candidates is to make application fee payment.
  • The application fee can be made by online mode through net banking/debit/credit card.

Printing the Application form:

  • The last step is to submit the information and print the registration slip and the application from.
  • Candidates must take out several printout copies of the form and registration slip for further use in admission process.
