NDA stands for National Defense Academy, which is the training institute for the cadets of the 3 defence lines of India (Army, Air Force, Navy), while the NDA exam is the whole selection process to find suitable candidates for the academy to train there and join their respective academy. This exam is conducted twice a year and contains a written test and an interview. Candidates who are willing to apply for it must read this post thoroughly and keep a note of the upcoming NDA exam 2022 events.
UPSC has announced NDA (1) & (2) 2022 exam dates. The written exam of NDA (1) was conducted on April 10, 2022. While NDA (2) 2022 exam will be conducted on September 4, 2022. Candidates can check below the complete schedule of the exam.

There is a set eligibility criterion for the candidates to appear for the NDA exam 2022 as prescribed by the UPSC on their official website. Candidates who have applied for the upcoming exam should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility norms otherwise their candidature might be canceled at any stage. The aspirants must fit into the prescribed NDA age limit to be able to take the exam and grab the desired post. The age limit criteria for the NDA exam 2022 for different courses is between 16.5 to 19.5 years. Only unmarried candidates born no earlier than 02 January 2004 and not later than 01 January 2007 are eligible to apply online for the NDA 2 2022 exam.
The total number of vacancies to be recruited through the NDA 2 exam has been released along with the official notification of the UPSC NDA 2022 exam on 18th May 2022. As per NDA 2 2022 Notification, a total of 400 vacancies will be recruited for National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) out of which 370 belong to NDA and the remaining 30 for NA. NDA 2 admit card 2022 was released for all the registered candidates. The link to download the admit card was made available on the official website. Candidates could download the admit card of NDA 2 by logging either with the roll number or registration number. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post.

UPSC conducts the NDA exam in two stages which are a written test and an SSB Interview. The first stage is the written exam in which candidates must perform well to be able to proceed further with the selection process. Candidates who clear this stage will be called for SSB Interview. NDA syllabus for Paper 1 comprises topics and sub-topics from Maths. This paper carries 120 questions of Class 10, 11 and 12 standards. Candidates get 2.5 marks for each correct answer and there is also a negative marking of 0.83 marks for each incorrect answers.

NDA syllabus for Paper 2 comprises General Ability Test (GAT) which includes the topics and sub-topics from General Knowledge (GK), English, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, General Science, and Current Events. A total of 150 questions are asked in this paper, out of which 50 questions are from English and the remaining 100 questions are from General Knowledge. The total marks allotted to this section are 600.
The candidates who are preparing for NDA II Exam 2022, must be familiar with the exam pattern that is followed by UPSC. We have discussed the details for NDA 2 2022 exam pattern below:

UPSC releases NDA Cut Off every year after the successful completion of the recruitment process. The cut-off marks are released separately for both the written exam and the final selection. Candidates appearing for the NDA 2022 exam must check out the previous year's cut-off to determine the number of good attempts. It is affected by many factors such as the number of vacancies, the difficulty level of the paper, number of applicants, etc.

For the NDA 2 2022 recruitment process, the apply online link was activated on the official website of UPSC from 18 May to 07 June 2022.
