About Indian Navy Sailor Exam

Indian Navy Recruitment 2022 Notice PDF will be posted on the official website www.joinindiannavy.com of the Indian Navy. Indian Navy Exam Date 2022 and 2022 for SSR, and AA has not yet been available by the Indian Navy authorities. Candidates are required to complete the Indian Navy AA and SSR Exam application forms on the Indian Navy's official website in all regions in the month of October 2022.

This year, the Indian Navy released a notice of recruitment of 2500 Indian Navy positions, including 500 AA (Artificer Apprentice) positions and 2000 positions for batch senior secondary recruit sailors in February 2022.

Indian Navy Sailor Eligibility

Indian Navy SSR and AA Eligibility: Nationality
  • Indian nationality candidates can apply for the Indian Navy SSR and AA exam.

Indian Navy SSR and AA Eligibility: Educational Qualifications
  • For Sailor (AA): Candidate must have completed 10+2 exam with 60% or more marks in total with Maths and Physics or at least one of these subjects (Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science) from the Boards of School Education that is recognized by MHRD, Government of India.

  • For Sailor (SSR): Candidate must have completed 10+2 exam with Maths and Physics or at least one of these subjects (Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science) from the Boards of School Education that is recognized by MHRD, Government of India.

Indian Navy SSR and AA Eligibility: Age Limits 
  • Applicants must have been born between the dates of 01st Feb 2002 to 31st Jan 2005.

Indian Navy Sailor Admit Card

  1. Visit the official website of the Indian Navy joinindiannavy.gov.in
  2. Click on the Latest Updates section and look for the AA & SSR Sailor Admit Card.
  3. Fill in the application number and date of birth and click on submit button.
  4. On the next opened page, check your respective admit card.
  5. Download it and take a printout of it for further reference.

Indian Navy Sailor Exam Pattern

The first stage of the selection procedure in the recruitment of officers and sailors is an online test, and the pattern for the same is given below:

  1. The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English).
  2. Only objective type (multiple-choice) questions will be asked.
  3. The duration of the examination will be 60 minutes.
  4. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Physical Fitness Test

Candidates who are qualified in the computer-based test will be eligible to appear for Physical Fitness Test. For PFT, candidates will have to run 1.6 km in 7 minutes, do 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak), and 10 push-ups. Candidates must ensure their own safety during the PFT.
 

Medical Standards

Medical examination will be conducted by authorised military doctors as per medical standards prescribed in current regulations applicable to sailors on entry. Candidates who are qualified in the previous rounds are eligible to appear for this stage of examination:

  1. The minimum height of the candidates should be 157 cm and the minimum chest expansion should be 5 cm.
  2. The candidate must be in good physical and mental health.
  3. Preliminary Medical Examination for recruitment will be considered only “Provisionally fit subject to fitness in the final medical examination”.
  4. Final Enrolment Medical Examination of all selected candidates will be done at INS Chilka.
  5. Candidates who are found medically unfit can appeal against its findings, if they so desire, at INHS Kalyani, Visakhapatnam within a maximum period of 21 days.

Note: Candidates are advised to get their ears cleaned for wax and tartar removed from their teeth before the medical examination.

Indian Navy Sailor How to Apply

Step 1: The candidates must keep all the documents (certificates, 10+2 Mark sheets) ready for reference.

Step 2: Applicants must register themselves on the official website of the Indian Navy on (www.joinindiannavy.gov)

Step 3: Registration can be done with an e-mail ID. The Candidates need to make sure that while filling the application form, they are providing valid information. (Such as active email IDs and mobile numbers).

Step 4: Applicants can now Log-in by their provided email ID

Step5: After logging in click on the Current Opportunities tab and then on the Apply button.

Step 6: this will lead the candidates to form filling, where they have to upload all the details and all required documents (scanned copy of original).

Step 7: Upload a good-quality photograph with a blue background.

Note: Candidates if found unentitled in any respect, maybe rejected after further examination.
