Indian Navy Agniveer SSR 2024 Exam

The Indian Navy released an official notification about the recruitment of Agniveer Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) for the November 2022 batch. According to the notification, the application (online) started on the 15th of July, and all the eligible candidates will be able to submit applications online at the official website of the Indian Navy.

Indian Navy has invited applicants for about 2800 posts of Agniveer SSR across the country. Those candidates who are eligible for the recruitment and want to serve our country can submit the online application. The recruitment process will happen in 2 stages followed by a final medical test for the selected candidates.

Candidates born between 1st November 1999 to 30th April 2005 (both dates inclusive) are all eligible for the Indian Navy Agniveer recruitment.
 

Candidates who are unmarried (male and female) are eligible for enrollment as Indian Army Agniveer. Candidates must sign an undertaking to not marry until the completion of their mandatory service period.

They may be dismissed from service if he/she marries during the initial phase or is found to be already married despite the undertaking.
 

1. A final medical examination is conducted by authorised military doctors as per the medical standards prescribed in current regulations as applicable on entry.
2. Gender: Any candidate, if identified to possess predominant characteristics of the opposite gender on external physical examination, will be rejected as unfit for the recruitment. Any candidate having done gender reassignment surgery will also be declared as unfit for recruitment.
3. Pregnancy: Any female candidate, if found to be pregnant, will be disqualified, and her candidature is rejected. A candidate should not have conceived even at the time of reporting and up until the conclusion of the initial mandatory service period. If found to be pregnant after recruitment, her candidature will be rejected, and she cannot proceed with the recruitment.
4. Minimum Height Standards: Minimum height for male candidates is 157 cm and that for female candidates is 152 cm.
5. Candidates must have good physical and mental condition, and be free from any diseases or disabilities that may interfere with the performance of duties both under peace and war conditions.

Note:

Candidates must get their ears cleaned for wax and tartar removed from their teeth before the medical examination.
 

Certain visual standards are expected from the candidates applying for the Indian Navy Agniveer SSR recruitment. The table below lists the agreeable vision standards in the Indian Navy.

Candidates who passed higher secondary or 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and at least one of Chemistry or Biology or Computer Science from any recognised Boards of School Education will be eligible for the Indian Navy Agniveer SSR recruitment.
 

There is no limit on the number of attempts for the Indian Navy Agniveer SSR candidates as long as they satisfy the eligibility criteria as mentioned in this article.

Written examination for the Indian Navy Agniveer SSR recruitment is conducted at designated centres on the stipulated date and time. The question paper for the exam will be bilingual in Hindi and English, while the questions are all objective types. The question paper will comprise of four sections:

• English
• Science
• Mathematics
• General Awareness

The exam is 60 minutes duration. Candidates are required to pass in all sections as well as in the aggregate.

The written exam is expected to be a computer-based test. It will contain objective-type questions with multiple choice answers.

• The medium of questions will be in both English and Hindi.
• The candidates are required to pass all sections as well as in aggregate.

Qualifying in the Physical Fitness Test is mandatory for selection. The standards for the Physical Fitness Test are as follow:

The candidates can apply only online on the official website. The procedure is as described below.

Step 1: Before filling out the online application, keep your matric certificate and 10+2 mark sheet for ready reference.

Step 2: Register yourself on the official website with your email ID. Ensure that while filling out the Application Form, provide your valid and active email ID and mobile number, which must not be changed till the selection procedure is complete.

Step 3: Login using the registered email ID.

Step 4: Click on "Current Opportunities".

Step 5: Click on the "Apply" button.

Step 6: Fill in the application form completely before clicking 'Submit'. Ensure that all the details are all correct and all the required documents are scanned and uploaded wherever necessary.

• Note that online applications are scrutinised for eligibility, and candidates may be rejected at any stage if found ineligible.

The documents you have uploaded during the online application, such as: 

• Original certificate
• Marksheets
• Domicile certificate
• NCC certificate (if applicable) 

These documents must be brought to all the stages of recruitment. In case the details provided in the online application do not match the original documents at any stage of the recruitment, your candidature will be cancelled.
