The minimum age for a candidate to apply for the SBI examination is 20 years old but not more than 28 years old, i.e. candidates must be born not earlier than 02.08.1994 and not later than 01.08.2002 (both days inclusive). • A Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India OR
• Candidates belonging to the category 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt of India in their favor.

This year, SBI introduced 5486 vacancies for SBI Clerk 2022 exam, out of which 5008 vacancies have been announced for regular posts and 478 for Backlog posts. The SBI Clerk Admit Card is released nearly 10 to 15 days before the exam. The applicants can download the admit from the official website of SBI. The SBI Admit Card includes important details regarding the exam like the full name of the candidate, parent/guardian name, date of birth, a photograph of the candidate, signature, date of exam, exam timing, reporting time, details of subjects, exam instructions, etc.

SBI Clerk Prelims exam consists of three sections. The section-wise syllabus for the SBI Clerk Prelims exam is mentioned in the table below:

SBI Clerk Mains exam consists of four sections having 190 questions for 200 marks. There is also a 1/4 negative marking for every wrong answer. The detailed syllabus for all four sections are mentioned in the table below :

There are two papers in the SBI Clerk examination. The SBI Clerk Exam Pattern for Prelims and Mains is almost the same. The only difference is in the total number of questions, time duration, and weightage of sections.
 

• The SBI Clerk Prelims exam has 3 sections. There are a total of 100 questions carrying 100 marks.
• The duration of the exam is 1 hour.
• There is a negative marking in the Prelims exam. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
• There is a separate timing for all the sections.
• There is no sectional cutoff for this exam.
• After qualifying for this exam, the candidates become eligible to appear in the Mains exam.

• SBI Clerk Mains exam consists of a total of 190 MCQ questions from the four sections.
• There is a fixed time provided to solve all the sections.
• There is one-fourth negative marking for every wrong answer.
• After qualifying the cutoff marks of the mains examination, the candidates become eligible to appear in the local language exam.

This is the last stage exam in the SBI Clerk exam. The candidates who qualify in the Mains exam are eligible to appear for this exam. This test is not compulsory for all candidates. The candidates who could not provide evidence for their language proficiency need to appear for this exam.

The candidates who give evidence for their language in their qualification mark sheet do not need to appear for this exam. The candidates can show the proof of language by providing the class 10th and 12th standard mark sheets or certificates.

SBI Clerk Result 2022 will be declared once both phases are concluded. SBI will publish results individually for both preliminary and mains exam. SBI releases sectional cut-offs for both – SBI Clerk Preliminary Exam and SBI Clerk Mains Exam. (c) Matriculate Ex-servicemen, who have obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force, after having completed not less than 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union are also eligible for the post.

Computer Literacy: Knowledge of computer operation is required for the SBI Clerk exam.
