UIT is run by alumni of Government College of Technology, Coimbatore and National Institute of Technology [ex-REC], Trichy . The founder has trained and placed more than 12000 Engineering students. UIT has been established with the objective to impart high quality technical and research oriented education for creating future generation engineers and scientists. One of the key visions of UIT is to work towards achieving Dr.Abdul Kalam's vision 2020 to make India as a developed super power by providing education that would instill inquiry, creativity, technology. It has been the constant aim of UIT to incorporate features of excellence in its campus.
