Trichy Engineering College was founded by Annai Santhiya Educational Health & Charitable Trust, Woraiyur, Trichirappalli with the permission of the Government of Tamil Nadu as per G.O.Ms.No 524(Education)dated 24.9.98. The Trust which is dedicated to the cause of promoting technical education as part of its philanthrophic scheme, purchased 41.7 acres of land in Konalai Village, 22 KM away from Tiruchirappalli on the Chennai Tiruchirappalli NH45 Highway & established the College. The campus is named Sivagnanam Nagar. The College is approved by AICTE-New Delhi, recognized by Government of Tamil Nadu & affiliated to Anna University Chennai.
