The Savjibhai Korat Educational and Charitable Trust started functioning under the leadership of Late Savjibhai Korat, Cabinet Minister (R&B - Gujarat State). The Takshashila Engineering College was established in the Academic Year 2009 with the approval of the A.I.C.T.E and affiliation with the Gujarat Technical University and the general policy of the Govt. of Gujarat to give high priority to Technical Education.
