In 1997, Shaheed Udham Singh College of Engineering & Technology, the first self financed multi disciplinary engineering college affiliated to Punjab Technical University Jalandhar, was established with the view of providing world class engineering education in the state of Punjab and to inculcate a spirit of social relevance amongst young students.
