Saranathan College of Engineering was founded by “Vidya Seva Ratnam”, “Guru Seva Mani” Auditor Sri. K. Santhanam in the year 1998. His Guru, Prof. Saranathan, was the Principal of National College, Trichy during the period Mr. Santhanam was a student in that college. As a mark of his reverence, he named the college after his Guru.The college has a current annual intake of 600 students for the 6 branches offered at the undergraduate level and 174 students for the 5 courses offered at the post-graduate level. This self financing educational institution is approved by AICTE and affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai.
