The National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal. Previously it was known as Regional Engineering College. The NITK, Surathkal is situated in the city of Surathkal, Karnataka. National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal was established in the Year 1960. The Institute has a long convention of research for several decades in both general and modern areas of engineering and sciences in all departments. | Library | The NITK Library is located in a spacious three-storied building adjoining the main building of the institute on the southern side. The library, with a floor area of 2,758 Sq mts., is divided into two wings. Periodicals, journals and bound volumes are accessible in the western wing, while books are kept in the eastern wing. Three reading halls which can accommodate a total of 600 students. It provides a peaceful and friendly atmosphere for absorbing the knowledge available from books. NIT Surathkal has a spacious three-storied building digital library with collection of 1,30,006 volumes including book-bank books, subscribes 414 journals for all the disciplines and also access to 2000 plus online Journals. |
