Under the broad policy framework of extending technical education in the state, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University(JNTU) Hyderabad, Telangana, India has promoted the establishment of several colleges in rural areas. Kamala Institute of Technology & Science(KITS) established at Singapur, Huzurabad emerged out of this vision to impart quality technical education that is very relevant to rural development. It was established in 1997 by Vodithala Education Society, an association with a generous vision of providing quality education for ardent seekers of knowledge.
