HIMACHAL Institute of Technology (HIT) is a moderate beginning in the field of Technical Education. It has long been felt that there is an acute shortage of Graduate Engineers in the country. It was in this view that Dr. Puran Chand Medical Charitable Trust has decided to establish this Institute. The trust established its first medical College namely Himachal Dental College, Sundernagar in 1993 and thereafter a chain of seven professional institutions is serving the society includingHIT which is the consequence of such a vision.
