Canara Engineering College is the millennium project of the Canara High School Association. It is a Konkani Linguistic Minority Institution. There was an acute need for starting this Engineering College because there was no Engineering College belonging to Konkani Linguistic Minority.The College was started in the year 2001 with 180 seats in 3 Branches of Engineering. Two more Engineering branches were added in the year 2004. At present it has 8 sections with a total intake of 504 seats including 24 seats of SNQ.
